Traditional buildings, pubs and hotels have so much to offer when it comes to design.
The beauty of these spaces lies in their history and the potential of their future, an intersection we consider during each step of the design process.
We support our clients in preserving what’s already there and enhancing the design, layout and materials used to secure a long-lasting future that will be part of the stories told by generations to come.
Our client base spans Ireland, the rest of Europe, North America and Asia. Over the past two decades, we’ve worked on designs, restorations and fit-outs for corporations, SMEs and family-run businesses. Bringing the same intention and enthusiasm to each project.
Our values define who we are and guide everything we do. We are committed to integrity, innovation, collaboration, and sustainability, ensuring that each step we take reflects our dedication to making a positive impact

We value each perspective and idea that comes our way, whether with our clients or our team of specialist tradespeople. Each project has its own special set of requirements and with open collaboration at every stage, we’re able to produce a design that serves our clients and their community.
We strive to combine heritage and history with modern functionality to produce a design unique to every building. Incorporating the life once lived with the future yet to come is at the core of everything we do.
A building rich in personality has its own story to tell, and our job is to tell that story through authentic and intentional design. We highlight once-forgotten features, reuse antique timbers, and restore old furniture to its former glory to create a space that no longer needs to hide.
Angela combined her passions for architecture, history, and the arts to establish A.M. Design in 1994. With over 25 years of experience, she brings her unique perspective and creative mind to every project.
Having worked on multiple high-profile projects, including the Guiness Irish Pub development project and the Kilkenny Design workshops, Angela is no stranger to the world stage. With clients spanning the length and breadth of Ireland and overseas in Europe, North America and Asia.
What makes A.M Design stand out is Angela’s approach to her work. She is passionate
Heritage and bringing buildings into contemporary uses effectively. She and her team are also considerate about circular design, which involves reusing and repurposing a building’s existing materials and features.
Angela can weave the story behind each piece into fresh and functional designs that suit the needs of a modern space while retaining their history and personality.
