The interior design project at the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis centred around revitalising the historic manor house with a fresh, refined elegance while respecting its architectural heritage. The design approach paid careful attention to the building’s original features, with bespoke joinery, classic panelling and period-inspired finishes reinforcing the hotel’s timeless charm. Rich textiles, traditional detailing and a subtle colour palette were introduced to enhance the sense of warmth and sophistication, all while maintaining a cohesive visual dialogue with the building’s storied past.
Each interior space was considered not only for its aesthetics but also for guest comfort and functionality. The public areas were reimagined with layered lighting and curated artwork, creating a sense of intimacy and cultural richness. In the guestrooms, heritage textures and tailored furnishings offer a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. The result is a seamless blend of traditional Irish character and modern sensibility, ensuring the hotel remains both a landmark destination and a masterclass in thoughtful design.
